This is beautiful Babs. Dumped at a shelter at 3 months old on Valentine’s
day in 2010! Almost 14 months in a shelter! When whoever had her discovered
she was deaf they didn't want her so they left her to die. Days turned into
weeks then months, then a year.......Babs didn't
deserve that so we got her out and found a foster mom for her. Babs will need an owner experienced with her breed and
deaf dog training. She is very social - loves all people, dogs and cats. She
is very strong so small children may not be ideal as she plays gentle but
could knock them over. She has decided she’d be the little min pins mom and sometimes
knocks him over. She never hurts him though. Babs
must stay nearby so that we can monitor her and make sure she is safe. She
will only be placed with the BEST candidate for her. If you think that is you
please email us. She was in a
different home after being pulled from the shelter… “She has been with
me for two days prior to foster. She is a delicious mush pot. I have a
senior chi that I'm fostering and a senior min pin (foster too) who she has
decided she is their Mommy. Babs truly does not
have an aggressive bone in her body, just sheer joy at each new sight, smell
and gentle touch. She is a very strong girl who walks beautifully on leash
with her new harness (she's very proud of that harness). Her first night
out of the shelter was hard for her. She wouldn’t go to sleep for fear of
waking up to it having been nothing but a dream, but when she finally drifted
off, she slept well and when I woke her in the am she smiled at me and gave
me a big kiss as if to say OMG its real!” |
