My name is CHAPLIN. I was found running around on I 77 and was picked up by animal control and then taken to the municipal shelter where my owners NEVER claimed me. Pawmetto Lifeline was nice enough to come and rescue me. It appears to be that I am deaf, however I use all my other senses that are heightened by this lack of hearing. I am extremely intelligent and will learn all that I am taught. If you have knowledge of my breed and have the time and patience to train me, I am the companion for you. I am definitely ready to find my forever home where I know that I will be safe and be loved unconditionally. I know that I can do the same for you. Please give me that chance.
NOW I am in a foster home with a terrific family that is working with my disability and training me using hand signals. I cannot thank the Crawfords enough for giving me this chance. The following is what they have observed and learned about me:

-I have quite a bit of energy so I will need an owner that is active outside....runner, roller blader, etc
-I love all people and I have yet to meet another canine that I do not like. I so enjoy playing with the other canines in the home. Wrestling, toys, nuzzling and sometimes nibbling on toes are my favorite past times.
-I also want to be involved in all activities in the home including laundry, cooking, napping.
-I do not like to be left alone and will cry if I am left behind. I definitely need to be in a home with other canine friends to play with me.
-It is best if I am adopted out to a home where my owner is home most of the time. I
am comfortable being in a crate at night.
-I am terrified of car rides, but my foster mom is working on this fear.
-I MUST have a fenced yard. Once I am loose, there is no calling me back.
The final comments about me are.......I am a love bug and can be quite comical. I hop around chasing butterflies and shadows. I'm fascinated by seeing myself in a mirror. My foster family says that I "bring life and love and a sense of warmth to their home.
I need someone to love me in this manner and give me my forever home!
