I have a deaf 15 month old white female Pit/Dalmatian
that I need to find a home for. Her name is Grace (aka, "G"). She is very
affectionate, playful, and has been socialized with many different breeds -
mostly pit/mixes & cats (I have a cat). I have been working with her for
almost a year using sign. Grace is a very
sweet pup. She loves belly rubs and to be pet. She is highly energetic &
loves to be walked. Grace loves interacting with people. With love, consistency, and regimen Grace
has come to understand several commands using basic sign language. Like any
puppy, she may give you that look, - “What?! Really?” but always follows
through. She enjoys looking out the windows to see what or who is passing by. Because of her
disability, it can be difficult to let her off the leash. She is looking for someone with patience
and a lot of love to give back. She is
also looking for a home with a lot of space to run her little heart out! I adopted G from BARCS with my ex
who no longer lives with me. I've hired a dog walker to help out with her.
However, I still have long hours on some given days. I've become very
attached to her and feel guilty but I feel that she needs more than I can
give. I've certainly given & continue to give her the best care &
attention that I can. She is, in fact, very happy & playful & has a
lot of personality! LOL I DO NOT want to just hand this pup over to anyone,
especially in Baltimore City, where I live. A dog with her disability and her
breed are commonly used as bait. |
