Special Special Needs Pup Needs a Foster…Taken from Abusive Home!
I am desperately looking for help or information on fosters until I
can place a special needs puppy that I took from a neglectful home. He is a 6
month old pit mix.
With the help of a special needs organization I was able to get a MRI done on
him to find out what exactly was wrong with him. Ice was born with fluid on
the brain which left him partially blind and deaf. He can see straight ahead but not the sides
and he can hear a little and sometimes I think his hearing is selective. He also has a wobble when he walks. The
neurologist said that he is in no pain and can live his life like any other
dog with certain restrictions because yes he is still special needs.
I placed him with a temporary home while I have been on a massive search for
a very special someone who love and accept Ice for who he is which is a very happy little boy. He loves backyards and will
play out there all by himself with his dolls he loves. If
you saw the way he is running in the yard, you would forget he is special
needs. I wish that I myself could take him but I have 2 bulldogs that hate
other animals. I will be absolutely heartbroken if after all this to help and
rescue him, that he will have to be put down. I am running out of time.
I am not looking to dump him on anyone I have and will continue to take care
of his expenses while I look for a forever home for this special little man.
I just need a trusting person to open their heart and home to him for me if
they can. He was rescued from a neglected home in Forked River, NJ. I understand you get so many calls on
animals and I am sorry that I bothered you with this as well. I just am
looking to give this baby a chance that the others he was with never did.
Also I am taking care of his shots and to have him fixed. I couldn't get him
fixed when I had the MRI done and have to wait just a little while because he
was put under for it, but the vet said he did very well when he was under so
that is a good sign. I thank you though for taking the time to read my
email.”
