From
some of the other postings we are reading Angel is possibly a “Lethal
White” Australian Shepherd. We believe she may have been the result of
breeding two merle’s together as she is deaf with sight impairment. She
is house trained, neutered, up to date on shots. Angel probably weighs close
to 60 lbs. and has some hip stiffness. She does respond to hand signals and
is really smart which doesn‘t sound too usual for her breed. Angel’s owner passed away
June 4, 2010 from cancer. Angel is being fostered and is currently living in
Golden with the sister of the owner, the sister’s husband, teenage
child, and two other dogs. Angel seems to take the alpha role with the dogs
and likes to play with the beagle sometimes she can get a little rough. The
other dog is a pointer and avoids Angel but they seem to tolerate one
another. Would not recommend her to be around other strong alpha
female dogs. Angel
has touch sensitivity and can bite when startled or someone pulls on her
collar. Two things that can be easily overcome by doing things differently
than one would with dogs that can hear. She doesn't appear to have food aggression
toward the people, haven't tested with the other dogs. She loves
to be around people and stay inside and really tries to be a good. She has
had one owner and would be a very loyal and protective companion. |
