I need to find a new home for 10 yr old Daphne. I am
fostering an 11 month old child who is now crawling and moving around more.
Since Daphne is deaf, I am afraid the child will startle her and she may snap
or bite. She tends to growl when she doesn't want to be bothered---this has
been new behavior over the past 3-4 yrs as she has got older. Of course being
a pack animal she wants to be around her humans and tends to bark if she is
put outside. She is good with older children who would know to leave her alone
when she is sleeping. She is good with other dogs. She lives with a 4 yr old
lab mix and she is alpha and does well with him...not sure how she is with
cats, but her previous home 6 yrs ago, had a cat. She knows signs for: sit, lay, come, roll over, give
your paw, and high five. She has urinary incontenence,
but does just fine on her proin medication. I am
willing to allow her to be adopted out of state to the right home. In that
case, a rehoming fee would help with the
"shipping/moving" cost. I really love Daphne and want to do what is
