Elu is a wonderful
dog. He was born bilaterally deaf and imported from Argentina.
I rescued him when he was 4 mo old. He is FCI
registered and can be UKC & AKC
registered. He is crate trained, leash trained, and
know basic obedience hand signals. He has passed his AKC
Canine Good Citizen Award, ATTS Temperament Test, and Project Pup Therapy Dog
Certification. He is trained in flyball, and holds
several titles (FD, FDX,
FDCH & TF). He is also training in agility
(hasn't competed yet). He is loves people, children, cats, and other animals.
He gets along with some dogs, but can be snarky
with others. He never had an issue with any of my female dogs, and gets along
with some males (neutered and intact). He has no aggression issues toward
people. He can be handled when eating, chewing on a bone, playing with a toy,
sleeping, etc. He doesn't startle when you wake him up or walk up behind him.
He is used to being bathed, dried with a forced air dryer, and having his
nails dremeled. He is really a great dog, but we
are going through some financial difficulties (like many other people) and
are struggling to make ends meet. He also isn't getting the personal time
that he thrives off of. He would make
a great dog for a 4-H'er or an older child wanting to get into training or
working a dog. Or for anyone that wants a complete love of a lap dog
that would protect you in a heartbeat. He is neutered, microchipped,
on flea and heartworm prevention, 25" at the withers, and weighs around
65lbs.
He goes to a homeopathic vet and receives nosodes instead of conventional vaccinations.
He is on Natural Balance dry food and has no skin issues
that normally plague Dogos. We tried him on
raw and he does great too, but you have to add slippery elm for his
digestion.
We are looking for the right home for Elu. He is not going to just anyone, and he has a
home with us until the perfect one comes along.
