Here's what Mozart told me I should write:
Everyone has been looking at me for 8
months but instead of giving me the permanent home they may feel sorry for
me…don't know why as I'm as normal a dog as any other. Not being able to hear
does not make me that different. I
still know how to love, play, swim and enjoy life. So can someone
finally apply and get me a forever home as great as my foster home. I don’t want to go for less cuz I’ve already experienced that and I don't want it. If
you have a fenced yard, warm bed, lots of love, willing to learn sign
language or know it, home during the day or another playful dog that would be
great; either a beach, lake or pool, time for hikes and walks, some daily
training as well. I love to swim and I
love car rides too. No kids or one
that's 12 or older, nothing hyper and crazy and I want a great leader so I
don't have to. Of course I want to
become part of the family and no sleeping outside unless I feel like it. One
more thing, no cats so I don't get tempted to chase. After all, I am a herding breed. Well that's all for now. Hope to hear from you soon!
Mozart knows sign language now and has
his basic hand signals down. He is
good on leash, takes treats very gentle, lives with 3 other dogs…he does not
care which gender as long as they are friendly and love to play. He's fine with small dogs too but looking
for an equal to play with and one with lots of energy. He lives with 2 cats one cat does not care
about dogs. Mozart is fine with that one but the other is scared and runs so
Mozart’s herding instinct kicks in and he will chase so best a cat free home
or cats that are bossy over the dogs.
His current foster mom is willing to help and answer any questions
even after adoption. Mozart is healthy
and happy. Once approved, adopter will
be able to speak with foster mom to get details and have any questions
answered before meeting Mozart. He’s a
cute 50 pounds with a handsome merle coat and sky blue eyes. It's his pink nose that is the cutest thing
of all with a few speckles of black.
Mozart loves life to the fullest and is looking for a fun and active
home. He does not know that he's deaf
nor does he care. He acts like any
other dog. Instead of speaking to him
you use your hands and body to signal him. He has been fine around other dogs
and lives with 3, a small dominate Min Pin male and a very dominate large
female GS and an older large female dog.
He gets along just fine and loves to romp. Adoption fee, home check, vet references,
fenced yard (a must), deaf dog experience or willing to learn
