Beau

Beau came to my home as a foster. He was at one of the local shelters and was slated for euthanasia. The reason? He was deaf. He had no history of any behavior problems, but his disability immediately got him listed as 'unadoptable'.

Beau is one of the sweetest, friendliest dogs I've ever encountered. He is extremely smart and was remarkably easy to train. He was the star of our obedience class and we start agility classes next week.

It's been a year since I first brought Beau home and as you can probably guess, I decided to adopt him not long after he got here. It just breaks my heart to think that this wonderful dog was just a few hours away from death as he has brought so much life to our home.
